'Every dark cloud has a silver lining',

this is what people say.
It's usually said to help,
when we face a difficult day.

 

Is there any truth in the saying
or are they just hollow words!
Does it have any real meaning,
or is the saying a little absurd!

 

Or just maybe, there is something,
possibly a message of hope.
Something to hold onto,
to get us through, to help us cope.

 

It's the Yin and the Yang.
It's about good verses bad,
the glass being half empty or half full,
trying to be happy or choosing to be sad.

 

Maybe it's our attitude to life!
Being negative can hold you back,
but a change of perspective,
being positive can get you back on track.

 

Don't let dark clouds darken your day,
try looking for a silver lining,
it's better to deal with life's challenges
than to waste time being idle, just whining.©
