Our Vietnam Vet's were called to war,
without really knowing what for.

 

Many were only twenty one,
when they were asked to take up a gun.

 

They were not there for a thrill,
they were expected to maim or kill.

 

They were not there by choice,
but marched to our Nations voice.

 

Thousands of our young men never returned,
yet it took many years to receive the respect they earned.

 

Many of those who did come home,
unfortunately still suffer, often alone.

 

So take the time on their special day to pause and reflect
and show them your friendship and give them your respect. ©
