Life is Give and Take

We usually get a choice in life,
we can choose either to take or give.
If we choose only to ever take from
others, it is an unfulfilling life we live.

 

The true joy in life is to give
to be caring, selfless and kind.
Making time for your fellow man, may not 
bring you wealth, but can bring you peace of mind.

 

It doesn't have to be about putting your hand
in your pocket for a cause on pay day.
It should not be about any reward
or recognition that may come your way.

 

Just being there for someone, you
will be rewarded simply by just giving.
It brings joy to both the giver
and the receiver, which makes life worth living.

 

So, don't wait until you are asked
to do someone else a kindly deed.
It's not charity just offering your hand
in 'friendship' and often it's all they may need. ©
