We only get one first love,

something we usually recall.
who was your first love, was it
special, do you remember it at all?

 

Do you remember, where you were, 
for this once in a lifetime event,
have you remained together, or 
after many years does your heart lament!

 

If you are still with your first love,
maybe you got it right first time round,
lucky for you, for being the valued
like a gem that someone lovingly found.

 

Maybe you have moved on and loved 
another, or took another path or track.
Our first love is just like time itself, once
it has passed, we can never get it back.

 

Although there is only one first time
having left our innocence behind.
it doesn't restrict us from finding our
Soul mate, our love is not really blind. ©
