As I watched a sunset

and a bird on the wing,
Twas a beauty to behold.
it would make a songbird sing.

 

It was more than 
the hazy hills and amber sky,
but it is the silhouette of a 
beautiful woman that caught my eye.

 

I just wondered
who she might be,
I can only imagine that
she is just waiting there for me.

 

I would dearly love to join her,
to wait together for a dark and starry sky,
but I would settle just for a glance
as I casually pass her by.

 

What a wonderful Universe,
what great visions to behold.
So grateful that we have such beautiful
sights and the joy they bring us, young or old. ©
